Attempting to end the war . . . with a song

I hear people knockin’

9/11 truth

They call us tin foil

hat wearin’ kooks

What about the "jet planes"

flyin’ all around

While "our" mighty air defenses

were standin’ down?

When I was a teenager I thought music was so powerful that the right song at the right time could actually change the whole world. I quickly grew out of that naive fantasy. Funny thing, just recently I've started believing it all over again.

Here's how it could work. Suppose someone made a great movie about 9/11. The movie tells the true story - PNAC, bin Laden as a CIA asset, the the WTC demolitions, the cover-up and propaganda, the endless war, the Scholars for 9/11 Truth saga, the looming police state, everything.

So far, there's no way that the real life story of 9/11 could have a happy ending. It's shaping up as the greatest tragedy ever. But I like movies with happy endings.

So to give it a happy ending, we add one fictional element: The president launches a national contest to find the most patriotic, pro-war, pro-official story 9/11 song out there. The winner of the contest is none other than country artist Darryl Worley with his song "Have You Forgotten?". Any volunteers to play Darryl?

Karl Rove orders up a propaganda video for Daryl's song - American flags and scary terrorists. They stage a big rally for the troops in Iraq, to get them them all fired up for the next big invasion. A hundred thousand soldiers look up to dozens of huge T.V. screens.

Daryl begins singing. . .

"I hear people sayin' we don't need this war. Well I say there's some things worth fightin' for . . ."

Suddenly, the video starts cutting in and out. Something's wrong. The T.V. screens go to noise. Gasp.

Then the video starts up again, only this time, it's "Blown to Kingdom Come". Miraculously, the good guys have hacked into the system! The soldiers just assume it's part of the show, so they watch and listen. Dick Cheney sees the exploding towers on his T.V. and about has a coronary. He tries to get someone on the phone to "do something" but it's no use.

The engineers can't figure out how the video signal is getting in, or how to stop it. One by one the soldiers start opening their minds. They see with their own eyes and hear with their own ears how absurd the official 9/11 story is. They begin to remember all the loved ones that they lost, and don't feel like dying for someone else's insane lust to rule the world anymore.

The video plays all the way through. Cheney goes berserk. It's overwhelming. The soldiers realize that 9/11 was THE BIG LIE, and refuse to follow orders. They lay down their arms and demand to come home. The invasion disintegrates as fast as the twin towers.

The end.

This, of course, is the kind of thing that only happens in the movies. But sometimes life imitates art. What if the soldiers saw the movie? What if they heard the song and saw the video? What if?

You say that we should blindly

Believe "our" government

Before you start your preaching

Let me ask you this my friend . . .

Have you forgotten

What we saw as one?

Oh those towers turned to dust

They were blown to kingdom come

Have you forgotten

Just how fast they fell?

Office fires can’t do that

No there ain’t no way in hell

And then you try to blame it all upon Bin Laden?!?

Have you forgotten?

You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

Here's How It Might Have Already Worked

Judy Wood and Morgan Reynolds may have derailed plans to take out Iran's nuclear faciity. It's no secret that War Inc. wants to do Iran, but they haven't yet. Is it possible that they need to use Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) for the job, but fear doing it now that the Beam Weapon paper has called attention to the bizarre nature of the 9/11 devestation? Do they fear that striking Iran will leave toasted cars, and round holes, and dustified buildings, and just look too much like 9/11?

DEWs are for real.

"We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is. . .is pull it. Ahhhh, and they made that decision to pull and then we watched the building collapse."

How the song came about

The idea for the song goes back to 2005. I had heard "Have You Forgotten?" by Darryl Worley, with its poetic endorsement of the official 9/11 lie. I knew it had to be answered, and had written much of the lyric. But I wasn't happy with anything I had come up with for a title line.

Then I saw an article featuring former Bush administration economist Morgan Reynolds. He said the twin towers were "blown to kingdom come", and the phrase just jumped out at me. Reynolds has always been good with a turn of phrase. Being a devoted student of the "Austrian school" of economics myself, and having had a few of my own economics articles published, I was already a fan of his. Title in place, the rest of the lyric came in no time.

Though I am a music writer and producer by profession, I don't consider myself to be the world's greatest singer. Normally I hire "real" singers for my vocal projects. But when it comes to 9/11, I am compelled to sing. To speak. To write. To give it all I can.

I released ver. 1 on 6/6/6, my birthday. The music track was more or less like "Have You Forgotten", and I meant it as a parody. Now I'm doing my record. The guitar driven power-pop rock sound of version 2 is much more "me". I hope you will check out my other 9/11 truth songs -

Inside Job (Guess You Didn't Get the Memo)

Wake Up Time

Judy Would

They destroyed the melted metal

From the WTC

It’s too incriminating

For you to see

That would blow the cover

That would solve the crime

The biggest inside job

Of all time

Some see a police state

Comin’ into view

After 9/11 man

I'd have to say that's true

Have you forgotten

What we saw as one?

Oh those towers turned to dust

They were blown to kingdom come

Have you forgotten

Just how fast they fell?

Office fires can’t do that

Ain’t no way in fucking hell

Libertarians of Will, Intellect, and Action

"We hereby put everyone on notice: We are libertarians of the will as well as the intellect, of activity as well as theory, of real-world struggle as well as idealistic vision. We are a serious movement. Our goal is nothing less than the victory of liberty over the Leviathan state, and we shall not be deflected, we shall not be diverted, we shall not be suborned, from achieving that goal. The odds against us are no greater than the odds that faced our forefathers at Concord, at Saratoga, or at Valley Forge."

-Murray Rothbard

They got their new Pearl Harbor

To justify their wars

The power and the money

That’s what they did it for

Have you forgotten. . .(No!)

All the people killed?

As the empire marches on

Down to the oil fields

Have you forgotten

About “our” Pentagon?

All the loved ones that we lost

To the Neo-Cons.

Face the truth

"Have You Forgotten"

Worley/Varble

I hear people saying we don't need this war

I say there's some things worth fighting for

What about our freedom and this piece of ground

We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down

They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in

Before you start your preaching let me ask you this my friend

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?

To see your homeland under fire

And her people blown away

Have you forgotten when those towers fell?

We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden

Have you forgotten?

They took all the footage off my T.V.

Said it's too disturbing for you and me

It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say

If it was up to me I'd show it everyday

Some say this country's just out looking for a fight

After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?

To see your homeland under fire

And her people blown away

Have you forgotten when those towers fell?

We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden

Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers

Who've gone away to war

And you can bet that they remember

Just what they're fighting for

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?

To see your homeland under fire

And her people blown away

Have you forgotten when those towers fell?

We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell

And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden

Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten all the people killed?

Some went down like heros in that Pennsylvania field

Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?

All the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on

Don't you tell me not to worry about bin Laden

Have you forgotten?
